| Fundamental Management Concept |
Polatechno Co., Ltd. desires to be a company that satisfies customers through film and its processed goods based thereon using products and technology that contribute to the cultural lifestyles of people.
In our corporate activities, we shall conduct ourselves in a way that "considers the global environment" and, as a "good citizen" trusted by the international community, assume "the creation of a foundation in which we can coexist with the environment" to be the starting point for our conduct in order to pass on to the next generation a healthy environment.

Polatechno Co., Ltd. shall promote and maintain environmental measures as well as initiatives to prevent pollution in all of its corporate activities, including everything from the design and development of polarizers and retardation film for LCDs to their manufacture and production of finished products.

The Company shall have an accurate understanding of the effect its corporate activities and products have on the environment, and shall strive to prevent environmental pollution.

The Company shall comply with environment-related legislation, regulations, agreements and other requirements that it has decided to accept. Furthermore, the Company shall establish its own independent standards, which shall be of the highest level possible given the technical and economic circumstances. All employees shall continuously strive to improve environmental conservation and environment management systems.

Polatechno Co., Ltd will treat the listed below as major items from environment controlling point of view in order to prevent deterioration of environment in which our products and activities may affect environment materially.

The company tightens the control against hazardous substances to prevent pollutions uncompromisingly, and we maintain the integrity and environment improvement in the community as well. |

The company promotes the improvement of production systems and makes it more efficient than was ever, and we also reduce any waste of materials, products, and processing so on. |

To prevent global warming, the company accelerates energy saving mainly for electricity. |

The company accelerates recycling and promotes effective utilization under the adequate controlling systems as well as having control for waste liquid, plastics and so on. |

In addition to stimulating the effective usage and recycling for any resources such as papers, the company reduces waste volume by promoting documents computerization and so on. |

In order to promote environmental management, the Company shall establish and put into practice environmental objectives / targets, and periodically review them.

The president shall endeavor for all employees to understand and increase their awareness of this environmental policy, and shall call on them to practice improvement and preservation of the environment. Polatechno shall make this policy known to both the Company and the public.
It shall also inform affiliates and partners, and request their understanding and cooperation. |
