History & Sales Growth

The Origin of Our Company Name

Polatechno was created to develop and supply distinctively characteristic polarizing films. It is a joint venture between two companies each with long traditions in their respective fields: “Nippon Kayaku Co., Ltd.” with superior strength in the development of dyes for polarizing films and other chemicals, and “Arisawa Mfg. Co., Ltd.” with a technological tradition characterized by “Coating, Weaving and Molding.”
Combining the two key words “Polarizer” and “Technology,” our company name “Polatechno” represents our wish to become an excellent “polarizing film manufacturer with great technological strengths.”
